We put a ball on this, works good, except it will swivel back and not stay straight up when pulling. Set it on blocks and with minimal lifting, can back up to it, hook it up, and move GN trailer with any of our tractors with QH. IIRCC, there was already a hole to stick the shank in. I cut out the center section where it hooked on to the quick hitch and welded a ball to the top of the tool bar. Don't have a pic, but we were cutting up an old row crop cultivator for scrap several years ago. Like 4WD said, I've seen several hay spears with balls mounted to the top of the frame. Mine is essentially a boxed up mount that saddles the top beam, and a single through-bolt that pins it in place. I'd think adding a ball receiver to any quick hitch would be easy. I think our latest bale spear has bolt on spears which takes care of any clearance problems. better keep an eye on the clearance to the trailer and spears. Here's some pictures, from Northern to see some styles that are available, from retail:ĭad has an old "corn head mover adapter" for 3 point, then I added a 2" receiver hitch, that I welded to it and reinforced because I already had a solid metal 10,000 lbs 4" drop receiver and 2 5/16" ball. Definitely will be purchasing again from Rigs 4 Less in the future.(new trailer 002.JPG) Attachments - new trailer 002.JPG (101KB - 232 downloads) Another plus with Rigs for less is they stock many of the attachments. A set of replacement teeth from Rigs was 1/3rd the price compared to the other company that was selling the high-priced stump grinder. I used to dig out the stumps with my backhoe and that will be no more. Tractor Three Point Receiver Hitch by Everything Attachments This is a trailer hitch designed to fit a category I, 3 point tractor hitch, and allows the use of a receiver style hitch on your tractor. I was impressed! I give Rigs 4 Less, the stump grinder, and their web site an A+ rating. After buying and trying Rigs 4 Less stump grinder it blasted through the stump in my yard far better than I thought it would. Researched what they carried for a skid steer stump grinder and found the one they carry to be very good price, (50% less), heavy duty and practical without the extra hydraulic arms and electrical so in short less issues to come up. Fortunately did more research and found Rigs 4 Less close to home. Our line of tough three-point hitch implements are built for a lifetime of work around the field and farm. Also, would have had to wait 12 weeks to get it as well as pay $400 for shipping. OUR 3-POINT HITCH IMPLEMENTS ARE 3-X BETTER. One company made a type that seemed more complicated than what was needed to grind a stump having extra hydraulic arms and a necessary 12V electric connection. Found a couple different types that would work. Did plenty of research on stump grinders and decided to purchase one to be powered by my skid steer.
